Sandra Martinez (nee Halliwell) is a mortal who has Wiccan, Guardian, and Phoenix powers. She is the second daughter of Patricia Halliwell and Jose Luis Montenegro and younger sister to Holly Halliwell and older sister to Rika and Rex Halliwell. She is the wife of Joseph Martinez and mother of Adam, Evelyn, and Patricia Martinez. She is the current Sheep Guardian. She is one of the main protagonists of the Guardians series.

Appearance

Sandra appears as an average adult, between her mid to late 20s, fair height, light skin, brown eyes, and curly dark brown hair. Since becoming a Guardian, she has become more attentive in her new responsibilities and become an even better role model for her children. While in her Guardian form she is slightly taller and thinner,and her hair straightens and turns black; she wears a mid sleeve pink top with blue pants and wrist bands, purple shoes, and a sky blue sash around her waist to hold her Guardian weapon, the Mirror of Truth.

History

Sandra was born on December 23rd to Patricia Halliwell and Jose Luis Montenegro, about 26 years before she became a Guardian. Her sister Holly was born one year before she was while her younger sister and brother were born several years after. Along with her sisters, brother and cousins, Sandra became a Guardian a week after Drake's 15th birthday.

Powers, Abilities and Paraphernalia

Molecular immobilization - (simply referred to as Freezing), is the magical ability to slow down the molecules of an object to the point where they stop moving completely, therefore 'freezing' the object.

Mimicry is the rare and extremely powerful ability to copy any power, ability, or magic and use it as your own temporarily or permanently.

Astral Projection is the magical power to project an astral form of oneself outside of the body; to project their soul into an identical living, breathing form of themselves. Typically, when the person is in "astral mode" their physical body falls to the floor, slumps over or remains still until they return to it.

Conception

The design for Sandra's mirror was derived from the mirror of the Inuyasha character Kanna. Sandra's astral projection was derived from the Sheep talisman from Jackie Chan Adventures. The design for her inactive phoenix gauntlet and armor form were inspired from the Witchblade franchise. Her guardian form is based on the W.I.T.C.H. character Halinor.
